Why did you choose to become a franchisee with Welcomemat Services? How did you learn about the brand?
"I really wanted to have my own business and be a part of the community again. Welcomemat focuses on local business and helps the community. Having my own business is nice. I did some research and found Welcomemat Services. I went to the discovery process with Welcomemat Services"
What were your perceptions of franchising before starting the process?
"I thought franchises were big retail chains like McDonalds. I thought they were all large organizations. I didn’t realize the other options that were out there. There are a lot of different franchises"
Are you involved with any charitable organizations?
"I belong to a networking group- eWomen Network the Colorado Springs chapter. eWomen Network is Colorado Springs premier success network for Women Entrepreneurs."
Tell us about your family, and any hobbies or activities you take part in within your local community.
"Lots of hiking, Garden of the Gods, take my dog Gracie with me she is an Australian cattle dog. My family lives far away. I spend time with friends and my boyfriend. I spend a lot of time outside."
What’s next for you and your business? Do you have any development/expansion plans with the brand?
"I am looking forward to launching Welcomemat in Colorado Springs and working with local businesses."
